so i am a bit horrified that i didnt catch shelob OR joseph heller. i've never read FH451, so i dont know if equilibrium was a rip-off, but am thinking maybe i should pick up FH451. in my defense, i was actually kinda squinting through a headache during most of that podcast. i'm wondering if greg just thinks we're complete morons?!!
greg! my man many thanks! I was drawing a total blank on the spider's name from the LOTR. What was her mate's name? Joseph Heller? Wow did Catch-22 come out around the same time of Vonnegut's books? I still enjoyed Equilibrium, but I agree with you on the rip off, not many people would or will ever catch there simular traits. At least I got de Toro, LOL! Anne I'm afaird we ARE complete morons! (well at least on Saturdays that is).

Joseph Heller wrote Catch-22, not Kurt Vonnegut.
Equilibrium was a blatant rip off of the ideas within FH451, and could have been a much, much, much better movie than it was.
